Although Rodriguez did not pitch professionally in 2023 after pitching in Japan, he was signed to a three-year, $32 million deal with Toronto. In 6 and 1/3 scoreless innings, he had ten strikeouts for the Bills.
On Saturday, Toronto was supposed to start right-hander Bowden Francis (0-2, 12.96). However, it is more probable that he will come out of the bullpen to tag-team with Rodriguez.
