Yariel Rodriguez to Face the Rockies in His MLB Debut

Toronto Blue Jays player Yariel Rodriguez will make his MLB debut against the Colorado Rockies. He came from Triple-A Buffalo Friday, and the Jays plan to make him the starter on Saturday. On the other hand, Dakota Hudson will start for the Rockies.

Although Rodriguez did not pitch professionally in 2023 after pitching in Japan, he was signed to a three-year, $32 million deal with Toronto. In 6 and 1/3 scoreless innings, he had ten strikeouts for the Bills.

On Saturday, Toronto was supposed to start right-hander Bowden Francis (0-2, 12.96). However, it is more probable that he will come out of the bullpen to tag-team with Rodriguez.

After a productive season as a reliever, Francis was promoted to the starting lineup after a strong spring training. According to bookie pay per head experts, Rodriguez threw 47 pitches in his most recent game for Buffalo on Sunday. A season high for him is 55.

Despite a dismal 0-9 record in their last three visits to Toronto, the Rockies finally broke through on Friday thanks to solo home runs from Nolan Jones and Ezequiel Tovar.

The Rockies’ 20-hit road game on Friday was only the sixth in team history. With eight doubles, Colorado came one shy of the club record for a single game.

Kevin Gausman of Toronto had his second consecutive lousy start, surrendering ten hits and six runs in three and a third innings of work. The Blue Jays have a 2-2 record while playing nine games at home. Before you wager on the game, read the beginner’s guide to baseball betting.
