Lionel Messi and the rest of Inter Miami will skip the US Open Cup. As a result, only eight teams from Major League Soccer will be part of the tournament. They are Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, San Jose, Seattle, Salt Lake, and Kansas City.

There will be a quarterfinal on July 9, a semifinal on August 27 and 28, and a championship on September 25.
