Venus and Serena Williams dominated tennis in their heyday. The Williams Sisters are turning to golf as they became the first TGL franchise owners.
The Williams sisters announced that they own the Los Angeles Golf Club. Also, they will be part of the TGL, Rory McIlroy, and Tiger Woods’ golf tournament. According to sports betting experts, the TGL will launch on January 2024.
Aside from Venus and Serena, the latter’s husband, Alexis Ohanian, will also be an owner of LAGC. Also, it is Ohanian’s second LA sports franchise. He owns the Angel City FC of the National Women’s Soccer League.
First TGL Franchise
According to sports betting solutions experts, the LAGC will play in the inaugural season of the TGL, a league created in conjunction with the PGA Tour.
Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., the daughter of Ohanian and Williams, was named as a co-owner of LAGC in a tweet by Ohanian. Also, Ohanian said that Olympia, at age 5, is the youngest professional sports team owner.

TGL and the PGA Tour
Six teams will consist of three players from the PGA Tour. They will compete in front of a crowd at an arena in Florida. The competition will be aired in a primetime slot on Monday evenings, following a seasonal schedule of 15 games, followed by semifinals and a championship match.
