According to the latest gambling news, Caesars is Opening a Sportsbook in Puerto Rico in conjunction with Casino Metro. The announcement between Caesars Sportsbook and Casino Metro, the largest casino in Puerto Rico was made was made on Wednesday.
According to the deal, both companies plan to introduce the news sportsbook under the name of MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook. In addition, they believe the new sports betting retail outlet will become the most exciting gambling experience in Puerto Rico. This is because it will offer 12 self-service sports betting kiosks as well as three betting windows. In addition, the sportsbook will also generate 30 new jobs for their workforce.
Furthermore, the 7,000 square foot location will have 25 more LED TVs and sports betting odds boards. Company officials expect the completion of the sportsbook to be done with second quarter of 2023. In addition, Caesars plans on also opening brick-and-mortar satellite sports gambling location throughout Puerto Rico.
For Puerto Rico, this will be the second sportsbook to operate on the island. According to Bookie Software companies, the first sportsbook was the opening of the MGM sportsbook back in February 2022.
Caesars is Opening a Sportsbook in Puerto Rico by Partnering with Casino Metro
The opening comes after the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission gave sports betting licenses to 7 companies last month. The decision for Casino Metro to become a bookie with the help of Caesars sportsbook was easy. According to Ismael Vega, the General Manager of Casino Metro, they “are proud to launch the MetroBets with Caesars Sportsbook”.
Vega also said that entering the sportsbook industry has always been the next natural step for their operation. However, it is a complex endeavor and are happy that they were able to partner with a giant like Caesars.
For their part, Caesars Sportsbook said they could not have found a better partner for the sportsbook. According to Caesars Digital President, Eric Hession, they have found the “best possible partner”. This is because they were looking for a partner with deep and local knowledge of the market in Puerto Rico.
