On May 12, governor Laura Kelly made history in Kansas by signing bill SB 84 into law. This effectively made it legal to bet on sports within the state of Kansas. Technically, the Kansas sports betting law became effect on July first. Unfortunately, it did not become available until today due to the regulatory process in receiving, reviewing and approving betting licenses. According to sports and gambling news, the law said Kansas sports betting had to be available by January 1, 2023.
