Football, particularly the NFL, is one of the hottest sports to bet on. Most sportsbooks have football as one of their featured or most popular sports. And a lot of bookies have made a lot of money over the NFL over the years. The study projects engagement from fan revenues alone to increase by 13.4%, from $13.1 billion to $14.8 billion per year. Additionally, a $573 million revenue annually can also be earned by the NFL, through ads, sponsorships, and data.

The projections for sports gambling are not limited to the NFL. The US betting market can rise to as much as $5.2 billion in revenue by 2023. There is even the potential for the US to surpass China and the UK in the next 5 years. With the legalization of sports betting, people who bet on the NFL can increase by as much as 60%.
