2017 NFL Preseason: Week 1 Injury Report

Los Angeles Chargers Top Injuries

As the regular NFL season is right around the corner, NFL fans and sports bettors get a preview of what is to come with the NFL Preseason.  The first NFL Preseason week is over and even though it is never as exciting as the regular NFL season, it does give us an idea of what is to come.

According to all sports betting software providers and handicappers, one of the reasons that the NFL Preseason is not as exciting as the regular NFL season is because of injuries.

There is no team in the league that wants to incur any injuries playing a game that will not count towards making the finals.  However, they do happen and this is the latest top injuries report for the NFL Preseason Week 1!

Miami Dolphins Top Injuries

Dolphin Linebacker, Raekwon McMillan reportedly suffered a torn ACL during the preseason opener against the Atlanta Falcons.  The rookie received the injury to his right knee during the punt coverage of the first quarter.

Green Bay Packers Top Injuries

The Packers have also had a run of bad luck with injuries Damarius Randall who was injured in the first quarter against Philadelphia. Malachi Dupre was knocked out cold in the second half and are now both in the league’s concussion protocol.

Los Angeles Chargers Top Injuries

Bad luck this season so far for the Chargers with its top two rookies injured leaving them with a few holes in their defense. We are of course talking about second-round pick Forrest Lamp to a torn ACL and first-round rookie wideout Mike Williams has two herniated disks in his back.  Many experts believe that there is a strong change Williams may miss his entire first season.

To make matters worse, MLB Denzel Perryman also received an ankle injury during the first quarter against the Seattle Seahawks and may need surgery that will leave him out of four games.

Washington Redskins Top Injuries

Su’a Cravens, a safety for the Redskins was injured during last Thursday’s preseason game when a sore knew forced him out of the game.  He is expected to miss two or three weeks.  His injury was not announced until after the game and It is not clear if he was injured during the game but we do know that he had an icepack on his knee at some point during the game.

Denver Broncos Top Injuries

Billy Winn, a five year veteran injured his knee in the last few seconds of the first quarter against the Bears.  He was diagnosed with a torn right ACL.  He was suppose to fill a key role in the Bronco’s defense and the Broncos just signed lineman Nelson Adams to try and fill in the gap
