Game 4 NBA Finals might be the last time the Golden State Warriors play at the Oracle Arena. However, it is the least of the concerns of the reigning champions. After winning the game, the Raptors are just one game away from dethroning the Warriors.
The Toronto Raptors won 105-92 to get a 3-1 lead in the series. They outlasted the Warriors’ run in the third quarter to secure the win. In fact, the two teams will fly back to Canada for Game 5 on Monday.
The Warriors knew what was at stake in Game 4 NBA Finals. Being down 3-1 in a best of seven series is not the best scenario for the team. According to the coaching staff, the Warriors will take it one game at a time. In fact, they are the first team to make it to five finals appearances in a row since the 1960s Boston Celtics. They don’t want their achievement to be just a footnote without winning the title this year.
The Warriors needs all the help they can get from their superstars. The good news is that they expect Kevin Durant to be back next game. Kevon Looney and Klay Thompson came back from injury in Game 4, but the team failed to win the game.
On the other hand, Toronto had a good third quarter. They outscored the Warriors 37 to 21 in the third quarter. Kawhi Leonard scored 17 of his total 36 points in that quarter alone. The Raptors led as many as 16 points in the fourth.
