Ted Leonsis, owner of the Washington Wizards in the NBA and Washing Capitals in the NHL, confirmed his plan to put a sportsbook in Capital One Arena. It is home of his sports teams. If the plan pushes through, it will be the first physical betting operation in a sports arena.

Leonsis told sports news sites that the sportsbook will be inside Capital One Arena. However, people can access it from the outside. In addition, consumers can access it inside depending on the event or league.

The sports bar is found on the ground floor of the arena. Also, it will stay open until April 9, which is the last home game of the Wizards.
